Teaching the Year 10s

It has been an exciting start to time in here. Johnno Close can't keep his hands off his four coloured pen which obviously is a great indication that maybe he gets few presents.

Insane Dude The Blog Setups

I can't believe what a nightmare this has been. We have all these blokes looking for a noose and a tall tree because they can't log in. The reason they can't log in is because they didn't write down their user name and password and so have forgotten it. I hope that they first try to log into Old Blogger then hopefully it will work

2007 at it again

Well ... my blog has been neglected for quite a while through here. However, since I last wrote, Australia has humiliated England in a 5-0 whitewash in the Ashes. So much for the most keenly anticipated Ashes series ever. It ended up as a total fizzer!!

Last night, England won the first of the three game Commonwealth Tri-Series. Australia looks less formidable without Andy Simmonds who must be in considerable doubt to make any substantial impact on Australia's fortunes in the World Cup of Cricket.

Nonetheless, it will make fine fireside viewing once the weather becomes colder outside.

The Time Machine 1960

Well ... it has been a long time since I wrote my last entry which is a clear reflection of just how busy everything has been. In Year 7 Stein, we have watched "The Time Machine" and learnt how to use the Inspiration Mind Map program which is excellent for drawing concept maps.

Some of the work that people have completed in their Grammar Work from English Skills Builder, their Inspiration maps or their general contributions to class has been very impressive.

Next, it will interesting to read their creative writing stories on "The Day I Saved The Day."

The teacher's exasperation

Mr O just about blew a gasket today because some people have flown the white flag and surrendered about their blog. He hopes that when we have our next class that there can be dancing in the streets because more people have persevered and got the thing up and running. He will stay tuned for further newz.

Meeting the new Year 7 Stein English Class

Well .... I have now met my 17th Year 7 class for a couple of lessons and they rock. They worked hard at their original profiles and those who presented "This is the Amazing Story Of" did so enthusiastically. The next thing we are working on is trying to get some Blogs up and running. The most important thing is for people to read directions carefully and to be patient. Some people have thrown the toys out of the cot too quickly. There is no doubt that you can produce something really cool and groovy and interesting to read with a bit of effort.
